Get to know General and Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Kourosh Karimi-Ardekani, who serves patients in Washington D.C. 

Named one of the top general and cosmetic dentists in Washington D.C., Dr. Karimi-Ardekani has been delivering quality, compassionate dental care to adults and children in the Washington D.C. region since 2013. A native of upstate New York, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2012. To ensure his patients receive the best possible care, Dr. Karimi-Ardekani continues to expand his scope of practice with recent certifications in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He is also a certified Invisalign provider and completed a fellowship in implant dentistry at the California Implant Institute in San Diego in 2014. 

His favorite part of dentistry is helping patients feel more confident in their smiles and empowering them to live healthier lives. He prides himself on his empathy, being careful to  explain to his patients each procedure, and educating them on the mechanics and importance of oral health. 

Licensed in Virginia and Washington D.C., Dr. Karimi-Ardekani’s professional affiliations include the American Dental Association and the District of Columbia Dental Society. His research interests include stress management techniques for patients with dental anxiety and the impact of certain medical procedures and medications on dental health.

In 2019, he was named the Top Invisalign Doctor in Washington D.C. He was also featured on TV as one of the Top 3 Cosmetic Dentists in Washington D.C. in 2018 and 2019.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Karimi-Ardekani has the skills necessary to complete an array of procedures that are both simple or complex in nature. 

On the subject of his personal life, he lives in Arlington with his wife. In their free time, they enjoy snowboarding, sailing, biking, and exploring new sights and cultures in and beyond the national capital region.
