Yes, acupuncture can help calm the nerves in the area. There are also herbs that may help. That said the underlying cause needs to be addressed. An Acupuncturist can help with the diagnosis. It could be a misalignment in the cervical part of the neck, or possibly a head or hand injury, or even a mineral deficiency like magnesium although that usually starts in the legs or feet versus the hands but anything is possible. The acupuncturist can help in making that determinization for a longterm fix to the problem.
Yes! Acupuncture is more effective at calming the muscles in the same exact way massage helps muscles: by aiding in the release of alpha-adenosine to help vasodilate and ease the muscles. Check with your primary care physician to see if alternative medicine is a good option for your condition. - Live Happy, Michael
Good afternoon, 1. Received. Thank you. 2. Acupuncture treatment can benefit hand muscle spasms, but please talk to your acupuncturist to avoid any kind of complication. (Spasm can also be caused by other medical issues). If you shall have any questions, please feel free to call me at (562)698-3008. Thank you, David
Hi
Thank you for asking
Acupuncture helps to relax muscles and the nervous system, so I think it will be helpful. Please find an acupuncture clinic near you and get help from them.
