Proctologist Questions Anal Fissure

How do you identify anal fissures?

How are anal fissures usually diagnosed in people? There's so much pain in that area, but I definitely need to be calmed down a little with this. I want to get this issue diagnosed, asap, but I just want to know the process.

A colon and rectal surgeon can easily make the diagnosis without causing pain by a small shot of novacaine.
Anal fissure is diagnosed with physical exam. Most times it will get better with medicine and diet changes alone. You should be evaluated by a colorectal surgeon for this.
It is diagnosed by a colon and rectal surgeon. Typically it is mainly a visual exam because it is so painful.
