Dr. David Manganaro is an internist practicing in TINTON FALLS, NJ. Please Note the Insurance Companies do not cover our services except some for "out of network" partial coverage (after deductible) & only for initial consult & follow up.
David Manganaro, M.D., received his undergraduate degree at SUNY Bimghamton and is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital where he also was Chief Resident for an additional year. Dr. Manganaro became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1999.
Dr. Manganaro then went into private practice as an Internist for fifteen years. During that time, he went on multiple trainings in holistic medical techniques which he progressively incorporated into his practice. The impetus to do this was his belief that more could be done for his patients and a desire to help people on emotional / mental / spiritual levels besides the physical level. He feels that approaching a person who is not at ease (a person in dis-ease) at all of these levels will bring about a more complete and longer lasting result. Of note, these special trainings were in addition to conferences in allopathic medicine in order to keep current within his specialty.
Manhattan Advanced Medicine (MAM) is a holistic, complementary practice of medicine which takes under consideration all aspects of the human being; the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The approach of the practice to the complex health problems of 21st century is not to treat a disease’s symptoms or the particular sick organ but to eliminate causes and sources of the dysfunction and to harmonize and balance the whole human organism and restore its total health . At Manhattan Advanced Medicine, the most sophisticated and unique methods of evaluation and treatment are utilized combining ancient knowledge of natural medicine with sophisticated European biological medicine and modern quantum vibrational energy medicine.
Our main goal is to help our fellow human being to preserve a healthy balance and eliminate any dysfunction, thus to achieve healing, using an individual approach and all aspects of the art of medicine.

Does blood pressure rise during exercise?
Any exercise, especially resistance training, raises BP during & likely about 15 minutes post exercise. Would wait at least 45-60 minutes before measuring BP post exercise. Even more importantly, it sounds like one random reading was done and it is best (in general) to have multiple readings over a period of time before making such a diagnosis. READ MORE
What are the home remedies for high blood pressure?
Besides diet, exercise, & medication, one can use supplements to help support a healthy blood pressure. Though too many to list here one major category are those that support normal NO (nitric oxide) levels which diminish as we age. NO helps with arterial dilation. In this category would look into Neo40 or Citrinox which are sold through alternate health practitioners offices. Another category would include the supplement Mg (magnesium) taurate. READ MORE

Staphylococcus aureus in nose. What is it?
The practitioner who did test is the best person to answer this. Was it MRSA (methicillin resistant)? Doesn't mean you are ill from it, but there can be carrier states, which can potentially be harmful to an immunosuppressed person. Usually cleared with nasal ointment (Bactroban, also comes generic). What doctor treats herpies?
No need to see a specialist such as infectious disease MD. You can see your PCP or use urgent Care center. Consider treating any partners & use barrier protection during relations even if no obvious outbreaks as this can be chronically carried and spread even between outbreaks. BTW, spelling is Herpes. Will my child outgrow juvenile arthritis?
It can go away but it seems you have a possible family history of autoimmunity (depending upon what type of arthritis your mom had). JRA (& other autoimmune arthropathies) can be triggered or worsened by food allergies & infections of nearly any type. In addition some infections (such as Lyme & parvovirus) can mimic arthritis. You may want to put her on an anti-inflammatory diet & also see an alternative practitioner besides her pediatrician & rheumatologist. Not sure if my information shows when I answer questions but I am located in NJ & may be able to help. READ MORE
