Get to know Internist Dr. Scott S. Yen, who serves patients in Oak Park, Illinois. 

Dr. Yen is an internist serving Oak Park and the surrounding communities. He is affiliated with Chicago Health Medical Group, a practice that believes a patient relationship is a partnership that spans a lifetime and that two-way communication is the key to good health. In regards to his education, Dr. Yen earned his Medical Degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1992. He went on to complete a residency at the University of Chicago Department of Medicine. 

Additionally, Dr. Yen is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.  To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American Society of Internal Medicine and the Society of General Internal Medicine.

Internal Medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. As an internist, Dr. Yen provides comprehensive care and manages treatment with surgeons as well. He will establish long-term relationships with his patients and incorporate disease prevention and mental health care into his practice.
