Get to know Internist Dr. Michael Todd Grendon, who serves patients in Chicago, Illinois.

A committed internist, Dr. Grendon has special interests in adult medicine and geriatrics. He works at Commonwealth Medical Physician Group in Chicago, Illinois.

Likewise, he is currently Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Section Chief of Geriatrics at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago.

“My major focus is on the care and treatment of the elderly. We have a nurse practitioner in the office to enhance this care. The patient and his/her family are treated with the utmost respect with full knowledge of the treatment recommended” as stated by Dr. Grendon. 

A 1979 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Grendon went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He is also a member of the American Geriatrics Society.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.
