Furthermore, he is Vice Chair of Surgery at Banner Desert and an Assistant Professor at Banner University.
Born and raised in north central Indiana, Dr. Masur attended Wabash College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. While in college, he was a member of the Alpha-Pi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2005. Thereafter, he completed his surgical residency in the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Dr. Masur attributes his success to his excellent clinical training and the tremendous support of his colleagues at the group practice.
General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland.
