Joseph S. Savitt, MD, has a private practice in Maspeth, NY.  He also serves as an attending at Sunshine Children's Home and Rehab Center in Ossining, NY.  Sunshine is a facility treating children from birth to 18  years of age who have a post-acute medical care condition, combined with the necessary rehabilitative therapy.  This includes speech, physical and occupational therapies; they also have a mobile dental unit.  Dr. Savitt is also an expert on nutrition and the gastrointestinal problems children may face, after completing a fellowship in these subjects at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. He is currently a preceptor at New York Medical College as well, a position he has held for the last 13 years.
