Should I be worried about slight deviations in my heart rate?
I am not quite certain what you mean by "deviations." That being said, the heart can vary with regards to rate or beats per minute. Caffeine and other stimulates, anemia, exercise, dehydration, hyperthyroidism, and/or fever can cause one's heart rate to increase. On the other hand, certain medications may also cause one's heart rate to decrease. Furthermore, there are other medical conditions that can speed or slow one's heart rate. Your family physician should be able to help determine if this requires further investigation or not. READ MORE
Can drinking less water be the cause of my fatigue and tiredness?
Simple answer is yes, it COULD be, and remember by the time you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated; this is the body's regulatory system telling you that you need to drink more fluids. However, remember to consume proper amounts of electrolytes as well, depending on the nature of fluid loss. Finally, there are legitimate medical reasons why a patient may need to restrict their fluid intake. READ MORE

The best way to combat obesity?
The best way to combat obesity is to start your treatment when you’re a few pounds overweight, because it’s easier to lose 5 pounds than it is 50. Otherwise, simple equation of excess calories absorbed versus not enough calories expended. I personally recommend a low glycemic index diet Or a ketogenic diet. It is paramount that the patient educate themselves regarding good carbs versus bad carbs, while maintaining a balance of of good protein and good fats. Fast food/junk food is a no brainer, but the hidden icebergs are grains (we feed livestock grains to fatten them up- what do you think they do to humans), fruit juices, and certain fruits just to name a few. The science of the low glycemic index diet mandates small frequent meals, with low index carbs, healthy fats balanced with lean protein. READ MORE
Are weight loss pills safe?
Under physician supervision, weight loss medication can be very beneficial and safe. Your physician will evaluate your overall health, the rest versus benefit scenario, and help guide you with a diet and exercise program which may include an appetite suppressant/stimulant over a short term. Also, your physician will usually obtain lab work to check thyroid and other values, and probably an EKG, before placing you on medication. READ MORE
