About

Dr. Qing Mei Wang obtained her PhD and MD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and is a Board certified physiatrist. After completing residency training in 2008 she joined the faculty at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Harvard Medical School (HMS), where she provides inpatient/outpatient clinical care, supervises trainees, and conducts research on stroke recovery to enhance our knowledge and the quality of patient care.

            She leads Stroke Biological Recovery Laboratory at Spaulding Rehabilition Network Research Institute-Harvard Medical School. Her research is funded by National Institute of Health as well as intramural grants that aim to determine molecular biological mechanisms of neuroinflammation in neurological disorder and to develop pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions to promote recovery.

Dr. Wang is well versed in her field and is an asset to the hospital. Through her lecturing (at the local, regional, national, and international level), her written works (e.g., peer-reviewed original research, topical reviews of the literature), and direct patient care, she has sought to improve care for patients with disabilities.
