He then went on to complete his residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in 2006, followed by his fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois in 2008.

Dr. Bhayani is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. He is also a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America and a member of the Crimson Laureate Society at the University of Utah.

Dr. Bhayani is a 2018 and 2019 recipient of the Top Doctor Award of Tarrant County (courtesy of 360 West Magazine). He is also a recipient of the Top Doctors of Greater Fort Worth Award from 2012 to 2019.

Infectious disease, also known as infectiology, is a medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis, control, and treatment of infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice may consist largely of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections or it may be out-patient based.  Dr. Bhayani specializes in infections that are difficult to diagnose or unresponsive to treatments, such as HIV or airborne infections from a foreign country.
