Sherief H. Gamie, MD, PhD, is a Radiation Oncologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist working as the Director of Nuclear Medicine and Imaging Department Chair at Long Beach Memorial and Miller Childrenâ??s Hospital Long Beach in California. Dr. Gamie, a Diplomat of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, completed his residency and PET/CT Fellowship at the University of Southern California. Additionally, he completed training as a Radiation Oncology Fellow at Long Beach Memorial and the University of California, Irvine. Since completing his training, Dr. Gamie has served as Assistant Professor of Radiology at Stanford University and is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology, University of Southern California and Chairman of the Imaging Department and Medical Director of Nuclear Medicine & PET/CT at Long Beach Memorial and Miller Childrenâ??s. He was awarded his PhD in Radiation Oncology/Brachytherapy in 2005 jointly through the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Gamie is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
