Academically, Dr. TeBockhorst completed undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, a field that provided him a framework with which to approach and solve problems. Out of this grew a fascination with the human body and a desire to make his life’s work about helping people.

He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine followed by training in both general and plastic surgery at the University of Colorado. Finally, he completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

A Colorado native, Dr. TeBockhorst enjoys traveling, participating in many outdoor sports, reading, and spending time with his family.
