He then went on to further his training by completing a fellowship in vascular surgery and endovascular therapy at Loyola University, and a fellowship in abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, as well as two fellowships in advanced hepatobiliary surgery and robotic surgery in Seoul, South Korea.
Furthermore, Dr. Yatawatta graduated with his Master of Vascular Surgery degree from the only such program in the world at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, receiving Merit honors. He also completed a Master of Healthcare Administration degree (MHA) from Colorado State University. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI)
