Get to know Internist Dr. Shanli Parnia, who serves patients throughout the State of Illinois.

Dr. Parnia is an internal medicine attending physician with an extensive dedication to teaching medical students and residents. 

She has over ten years of tutoring experience in a variety of subject areas and major exams, including Basic Sciences, USMLE step 1, USMLE Step 2 CS/CK, and USMLE Step 3. She tailors study plans to one’s needs while focusing on comprehension and test-taking strategies. 

A 2019 graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Dr. Parnia went on to perform her residency in internal medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine in 2020.

On a professional level, she is an active member of the American College of Physicians (ACP). The ACP is a national organization of internists who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of adults.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Parnia conducts research studies and publishes research papers.
