Living out her dream, Dr. Gjorgjevska-Smiljkovich is a caring and trusted pediatrician at Kidz Care Clinic, P.C. in Chesterfield Twp, Michigan. A parent herself, she considers it both a great joy and responsibility to care for children.

Serving children of all ages, Kidz Care Clinic, P.C. offers a full range of pediatric care, including prenatal visits for expecting parents, well–child check–ups, immunizations, and sick appointments. The caring team of pediatricians are committed to providing quality service in a comfortable, safe office setting where children and parents can feel at ease. Having known that she wanted to be a pediatrician since she was four years old, Dr.  Gjorgjevska-Smiljkovich moved to the metro Detroit area as a kid from Macedonia and has called Southeast Michigan home ever since. She went to Wayne State, earning her Bachelor of Science degree.

Thereafter, she attended medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, after which she performed her residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Continually pursuing ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest in child health care, Dr. Gjorgjevska-Smiljkovich is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

In addition, she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Happily married to the love of her life, Dr. Gjorgjevska-Smiljkovich and her husband have a son named Leo. 

Outside of practicing medicine, she enjoys traveling, planning, and baking. She also enjoys sharing medical knowledge with other moms via her podcast – 3PedsInAPod.
