Get to know Dental Billing Specialist Shelbey Arevalo, who serves clients nationwide.

Shelbey Arevalo is a dynamic force in the field of Dental Billing & Consulting, driven by her unwavering passion and dedication to excellence. Her journey into the world of dental healthcare began in 2009 when she embarked on her educational path by enrolling in the Dental Assistant ROP program. 

Throughout the years, she immersed herself in every facet of the dental office, from hands-on clinical work to the intricacies of front-office management. This comprehensive experience not only sharpened her skills but also deepened her understanding of the intricate workings of dental practices. It was during this time that she recognized the potential to effect positive change within the industry.

In pursuit of her vision to elevate dental practices nationwide, Shelbey founded Arevalo Elite Services. Her mission was clear: to partner with dental practices and equip them with the tools and strategies necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

Pertaining to her educational pursuits, she graduated from the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) program in 2010, obtaining essential certifications in CRT, CPR, OSHA, and HIPPA. Her dedication to professional development led her to pursue additional certifications, including becoming a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT1) in 2014. This diverse skill set, coupled with her management training from the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) in 2019, positioned her as a leader in the field.

In 2022, Shelbey further expanded her expertise by earning a certification in Medical Billing and Coding from Sierra College. This rigorous program equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary for accurate billing and insurance claim processing within the dental-medical cross-coding healthcare sector. Most recently, in 2024, she completed advanced training in accounts receivables management, human resources, and financial reporting through The Dale Foundation, solidifying her reputation as a strategic thinker and innovator in dental practice management.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she is deeply committed to giving back to her community and making a positive impact. Central to her philanthropic efforts is the Patient Advocate Program, a unique initiative aimed at helping patients navigate the complexities of finding a dentist that fits their unique needs, navigating dental insurance, and more. Through this program, she empowers patients to make informed decisions about their dental care, fostering trust and confidence in the dental healthcare system. She is passionate about giving back to those in need and strives to embody the values of compassion, generosity, and empathy in all aspects of her personal and professional endeavors.

In her free time, Shelbey enjoys hot yoga and hiking and cherishes her role as a mother. She is also involved in her church community and finds fulfillment in contributing to the well-being of others.
