7. Peter Falk
Who didn’t love “Colombo” and its bumbling, but savvy star, Peter Falk (1927-2011)? His most famous role was the Lieutenant Columbo, but he was also a certified accountant before changing his career to acting. Falk was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2008. Toward the end of his life, he could not even remember being an actor. He died from indirect causes of Alzheimer’s in 2011.
