Gary Hall Jr. is a swimmer and an Olympic gold medalist. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1999 and won the gold medal in swimming in 2000 and 2004. He is a member of the JDRF and has spoken in several diabetes fundraisers. He also supports new research on diabetes and has testified in Congress for the increase in funds for diabetes research.
