Jamie-Lynn Sigler Discusses Life with Multiple Sclerosis
To others, she blamed her symptoms on her back
It became slightly difficult to explain to her castmates why she struggled to keep up with certain scenes, but she blamed the issues on her back. Of course, her close friends she told, but the vast majority were not in the know.
One of the people that was not aware of her condition was her co-star Edie Falco. At first, she thought it was just Sigler's Lyme disease when she was in the hospital, so she figured that she would recover easily. However, she says, "when I found out that she had MS, it broke my heart. Just knowing how difficult it must have been to go through that - as a kid, really - and to do it so quietly. She was always so professional, so beyond her years."
