I have stopped using silver filings in my practice since 1993, I don’t recommend the use of silver filling for several reasons. Studies have shown that resin or composite fillings have better aesthetic and have the same compressive strength as silver and since it bonds the tooth together, less potential of tooth fracture.
Can I use mouth wash after getting a dental implant?
Mouth wash has no negative effect on the implant itself, it is more preferable to use a rinse such as chlorhexidine (peridex) for the tissue and better healing.
How do dental onlays differ from crowns?
Onlays are partial coverage of the tooth and are more predictable and highly recommended, more than a crown.
