Dr. Susan St. Clair Roper is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon who treats patients at Countryside Dermatology & Laser Center located in Clearwater, Florida. She specializes in all facets of dermatology and dermatologic surgery and has been with Countryside Dermatology & Laser Center for over 25 years. In addition to her role at her practice, Dr. Roper has previously donated her time and expertise as a volunteer Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Dermatology at the James Haley VA Hospital Dermatology Clinic and the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. After more than 20 years, Dr. Roper retired from her volunteer duties in 2009.
Dr. Susan St. Clair Roper graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, earning her medical degree. He then completed her internship in internal medicine and subsequent residency in dermatology at the same educational venue, where she served as chief resident, followed by a year of fellowship research in dermatology. In order to remain up-to-date in her field, Dr. Roper maintains a professional membership with the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Florida Society of Dermatology, and the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. Due to her outstanding work in dermatology, Dr. Susan S. Roper has been granted a number of awards and recognitions, including the esteemed Dermatology Foundation Research Award sponsored by Revlon and the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons’ Surgeon of the Year Award for 2006.
