Dr. Peter S. Vosler, M.D., PH.D.

Dr. Peter Vosler is currently an Assistant Professor in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction in the Department of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Prior to medical school Peter served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic and an intelligence analyst, performing one tour of duty in Iraq in 2003.   He received his MD and PhD in molecular neurobiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010.  He subsequently completed the Otolaryngology residency program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2016.  He completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery, and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Toronto in 2018. Dr. Vosler was on faculty at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Otolaryngology as an Assistant Professor before starting the Head and Neck Cancer progam at the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. 
Dr. Vosler specializes in transoral robotic surgery, head and neck surgical oncology, microvascular reconstruction, endocrine surgery, Inspire (hypoglossal nerve stiumulator) insertion for obstructive sleep apnea and utilization of ultrasound in surgical clinical practice.  His research is focused on improved coordination of care for advanced head and neck cancer and optimizing postoperative pain management.
