If you already had crowns, root canals or fillings, you may need a new crown or even a root canal if the tooth split. If it’s a corner that chipped off, and there isn’t any decay, then you may get away with a filling... however, if the lower tooth is hitting it harder than the other teeth, it may need to be addressed too.

Most won't use it or just use very little. Teeth pain can cause a lot of stress which is defintely not needed during pregnancy! Some dentists may just relieve pressure on the nerve. Some might complete the entire root canal. I believe treating it is better than not at this point.
