Dr. James Southerland, MD

Family medicine expert Dr. James Southerland has worked in general medicine for over 34 years. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Southerland has honed his abilities not just as a doctor but also as a medical director throughout the years. Dr. Southerland has committed his time to being actively involved in the physician assistant program at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the preceptorship program at Mercer Medical School in Macon, Georgia. He was a board member for the GC Health Department for 20 years. For his years of devotion and commitment in communication over the past 30 years, Dr. Southerland has won a number of honorary honors from the community.
