Dr. Basta magna cum laude honors while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Truman State University. Subsequently, he pursued his medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he later completed his internship and neurosurgery residency, serving as Chief Resident during his time at Saint Louis University. He completed his internship and neurosurgery residency at Saint Louis University. Following that, he pursued a fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base neurosurgery at the Indianapolis Neurosurgical Group. Finally, he furthered his expertise through a fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base neurosurgery at the Indianapolis Neurosurgical Group.
