On average, we tell patients to take off of work for the first 2 weeks. In this time frame, you will be swollen and there could be some mild bruising. Within the first 2 weeks however, you are not bed ridden. We still would like for you to get up and move around, resuming every day activities, with restrictions of course. The first week is when you would be the most uncomfortable. We also have our patients on a vitamin regimen before an after surgery. These vitamins will help you feel much better much faster.

Other side effects of Botox may include a slight "heaviness" feeling and/or headache for the first few days as the Botox is setting in, redness at the injection site for up to 30 minutes after injection, and slight soreness at the injection site.

As far as stretch marks on the hips, there isn't a great option out there. People will try to sell you creams and all kinds of treatments/laser procedures but nothing really works unless you remove them all together. Hope this helps!
