Typically during intercourse, the vagina dilates and lengthens which makes for intercourse to be pleasurable. You will need to see a gynecologist to be assessed. You need to be ready for intercourse which means to be aroused and engage in foreplay prior to penetration. Therapies for this condition include a referral to pelvic floor therapy and the use of vaginal dilators.
