Make sure you hold pressure over the tear ducts in the nasal portion of the eyelids after you put in the drops for at least one minute to keep it from getting as much into the bloodstream. Hopefully within a week or so of being off the drops it will return to pre-surgery levels.

My eye is swollen after I blew my nose?

Occasionally air can travel up the tear duct and collect under the skin and soft tissue. It should clear fairly quickly with a week. If not then see your eye doctor.

Eye drops such as Can-C and antioxidant drops have not been proven to work either. Good uv-protecting sunglasses are important though.
