Radiofrquency is a safe procedure when done by a qualified experiened provider for establshed medical necessity.

we have everyone take a mild sedative prior to the procedure. During the procedure there is local anesthetic.

Please call the physician who performed the procedure to discuss the symptoms with him or her.

Can acupuncture help with varicose veins?

I am not familiar with the use of acupunctue for the treatment of varicose veins. I would inquire with an acupunturist.

I do not use general anesthesia for varicose vein procedures. I have patients take a mild sedative 2 hours before the start time, so they are relaxed, but awake.

Yes, radiofrequency endovenous ablation is an excellent treatment for varicose veins in the presence of ultrasound documented reflux. There are other treatments for veins without proven reflux. Not typically, but it would be best if you got direct counsel from the physician doing the procedure.
