I have seen it take up to two years depending on the individual patient and I have also seen people discard their walker in the first week and start playing golf in 3 weeks.

Most partials have to be converted to Total knees because the arthritis in the rest of the knee progresses and may need a Total replacement in a little as 6 months. In general they dont last more than 2 or 3 years.
