Dr. Imtiaz A. Chaudhry, MD Ph.D., FACS, is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellowship trained Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon practicing in Houston, TX. Dr. Chaudhry specializes in the art and science of treating Eye Disease and the Face area. After obtaining his MD, Ph.D., from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Chaudhry completed one year of Internship in Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine Affiliated Yale-New Haven Hospital. Subsequently, he completed a 3-years Residency in Ophthalmology from Yale Eye Center Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Yale University School of Medicine. Then Dr. Chaudhry completed a 2-year Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Cullen Eye Institute Department of Opthalmology, Houston, TX under the world-renowned Oculoplastic Surgeon Professor Dr. Milton Boniuk, MD.  Dr. Chaudhry is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and Houston Ophthalmology Society. 

Dr. Chaudhry can diagnose and treat diseases of the eyes in adults as well as children and perform surgeries. In particular, he can treat droppy eyelids (ptosis), brow lifts (browplasty), perform Botox injections for wrinkles around the eyes and for blepharospasms, remove tumors around the eyelids/brows/face area, repair eyelids/brow/facial injuries related to trauma/fall, reconstruct primary defects at the time of initial inujuries or delayed repair for the scars and for residual defects, can perform fillers and do the face lift, treat tearing eye,  perform eye and eyelids operations to improve functional as well as cosmetic appearance. He also treats non-seeing painful blind eye and make patient comfortable. If under certain cercomstances an eye has to be removed, he is able to reconstruct the defect to improve wearing of cosmetic shell. After trauma, he can repair eyelid/canalicular injuries and repair orbital fractures. For some patients who develop elevated intracranial pressure and subsequent fluid build up around their optic nerves, he can perforem orbital decompression in the form of an optic nerve sheath fenestration to improve vision as well as visual fields.
