Some of the most common early signs of diabetes are:

- Urinating A LOT (often and copiously). That's from your kidneys basically spilling sugar water into your urine
- Increased THIRST (from losing all that water and from such a high level of sugar in the blood)
- Skin infections (recurrent boils, cellulitis, abscesses)
- Light-headed, dizziness, nervousness
- Darkened skin around skin folds ("acanthosis nigricans") is a skin discoloration that can happen due to insulin resistance.
- Weight LOSS actually (from protein spilling into your urine related to damage to kidneys from high sugars)

Sugar is really irritating to the cells in the body, which is why we naturally tightly regulate it. There's no part of the body that's unaffected by diabetes, so how someone presents can be typical or atypical. We screen for diabetes annually for a reason bc caught early, it's VERY MANAGEABLE. IF YOU FEEL "OFF" FOR ANY REASON, a diabetic screen is a fair request.
Best of luck!

#2 yes fatty liver is reversible of you STOP doing the things that irritate the liver (ALCOHOL! TYLENOL!) Fatty liver is that middle stage "fork in the road" where it can be pushed in either direction. Stop drinking, be good to yourself, and it should go back to normal. It took a while to get that way and it will take some time to get back to normal but it will get there!

I'm sure you've heard of lactose intolerance. Lactase is an enzyme that we produce and sits on the lining of our intestines til lactose wanders by and gets digested. When we have diarrhea, for any reason, that lactase enzymes gets washed away. So we need time to build up that puddle of lactase enzyme again. Until that happens, everything that has dairy in (as an ingredient even) can cause a cycle of diarrhea. Try taking some lactase supplements (Lactaid) prior to eating each meal, and also a probiotic to balance out your gut bacteria.

If you cannot bend or move your arm, if there is no improvement with over the counter treatment and a few days of rest of if it is getting worse. Ideally you should be seen by your primary care physician so you still get seen and assessed and treated. Look and see what maybe caused the pain, if you rest your elbows on the desk or lean on your elbows it may just be bursitis so stop doing whatever is causing the pain and see if that allows it to heal. Good luck with that bc even I do it it's a hard habit to break!

The contrast lights up the hollow viscous organs, oral contrast lights up the inside of them so if you eat something prior to, it can obscure the picture, make it hard to tell if there's a mass or obstruction or just a sammich. It could also cause "artifact" on the image and make the test hard to read and when doing a test like that we try to limit technical errors. Also, if you need a CT scan, you probably don't feel well and you have to lay on your back in a tube in a room by yourself and God forbid something happens, and you vomit. We have to wait until they roll the bed back to us before we can try to help you. So if you aspirate water it's not as life threatening as having food stuck in your lungs that we now can't get out.... So kinda a few reasons.

Best initial therapy is physical therapy. Strengthen the muscles around the joints in the back and abdomen actually ("core") to support the joints. The discs are essentially cushions between the joint spaces created by the vertebrae. We can't slap a brace around the spine unfortunately like a bulging knee but the idea is still the same. Support the joint. So strength training, and weight loss if that is feasible. The goal is to reduce pressure on the disc so they don't bulge, and the muscles will help distribute the weight once your core is stronger. It takes time to get a bad back and it takes time to fix it but it's doable!

You may have an "internal hernia" that comes and goes based on your position. If you think of a telescope, how it opens and closes on itself, that's basically the idea of what an internal hernia is. So laying flat keeps everything nice and straight but when you move your side you close the telescope, and this bunching up causes a bowel obstruction. The explosive diarrhea is a result of your bowel muscles trying to move the obstruction.... That's kinda what it sounds like to me. Low residue diet, the magnesium all that keeps the system moving right along without slowdowns to reduce the chances of it happening... That's what it sounds like but I'd talk to a surgeon

Unless dying at home is the patient's preference, absolutely they need to go to the hospital. Every minute counts when it comes to heart attacks and the days following. No treatment is always an option for every malady, but not if they expect a good outcome. The blood supply has been cut off to a part of the heart muscle in a heart attack. It will die unless something is done to return blood to that muscle. Dead heart muscle is weaken and ruptures or triggers fatal heart rhythms. Either this happens soon after the event or after it has scarred.
