Robin Ross, MD, MPH, CPH is a Retina Specialist and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with The Global Retina Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Dr. Ross is board certified in Ophthalmology and has specialized in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery for the last two decades. Examples of common vitreoretinal diseases include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and macular holes, among many others.
Dr. Ross earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell University Medical College, where she also completed a Basic Science Vitreoretinal Research Fellowship in perfluorocarbon liquids. These efforts helped Dr. Ross revolutionize modern retinal detachment surgery procedures. She also founded the Free Eye Clinic at the Free Medical Clinic in Iowa City during her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Aside from her medical career in the US, Dr. Ross is also extremely dedicated to providing eye care overseas. She helped develop eye care in West Africa and is currently involved with the PREVAIL III project in Liberia.
Dr. Ross proudly supports Vision 2020, a World Health Care Organization global initiative launched in 1999 to end blindness around the world. She is dedicated to educating others in regards to eye health, no matter where that motivation may take her. Her goal is to remove barriers to eye health and care around the world.
To treat her patients, Dr. Ross utilizes the most advanced technology available in the world of retina care. She values patient engagement and aims to provide the most beneficial experience possible for each of her patients.
