I wish there was a simple answer to this, but there is none. My recommendation is to avoid simple carbs, sugars and alcohol. Keep carbs controlled, ideally complex carbs like whole grains are good, which are better than whole wheat. Also recommend balanced meals, which means half plate should be non-starchy vegetables and 1/4th should be complex carbs and 1/4th should be protein. Adequate hydration and sleep are also key for good health.
