We must work the floss under the crowns as far as you can get it and clean out any debris. Also, a waterpik can be helpful. You just need to be careful to not turn it all the way up. Use the pik at about a level 4. And always a good mouth rinse three times a day would help to clean out those gums.

The pain should not last long. Ibuprofen should be enough to calm the pain. If it still hurts after a week, call your dentist again.
