Dr. Tran joined the US Army after September 11 and became a commander and flight surgeon. He was involved with combat medicine, explosive and burn wound care and rehabilitation. Dr. Tran also specialized in mass casualty and evacuation planning as well as soft tissue wound care and revision. He worked with the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) to help injured soldiers rehab to regain functional quality of life and was the Medical Evaluation Board Director maintaining soldiers; health and fitness.
