<p class="MsoNormal">Dr. R. Mitchell Hiserote D.O. is a California native living and practicing in the California North Bay Area. As an alumnus of Western University of Health Sciences (WUHS) - College of Osteopathic Medicine (Pomona CA) he concurrently completed Western University’s Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. His post graduate training was completed at Arrowhead Regional Medical center in Colton, CA.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Dr Hiserote currently holds board certification in Neuromusculoskeletal & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromuscular Medicine (AOBNM), Certification of Proficiency from the Osteopathic Cranial Academy (OCA), and is a Costin scholar from the Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. His academic positions have included Adjunct, Assistant, and Associate Professor, with responsibilities that included Vice Chair and subsequently Chair of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM)’s Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Dr Hiserote’s enthusiasm for teaching and articulation of osteopathic medicine began as an undergraduate teaching Fellow while at WUHS in 1996 under Dr Viola M Frymann DO, and continues to present day as course director and lecturer for the Osteopathic Promise to Children - San Diego, CA. Past faculty forums have included the Osteopathic Cranial Academy (OCA), WUHS, and the Southerland Cranial Teaching Foundation (SCTF) in their respective courses that support traditional osteopathy. Additionally, his teaching expertise has earned him privileged lecture opportunities in venues that have included UC California at Berkeley, UC California at Davis, as well as internationally in Paris France and Nagoya Japan.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Dr Hiserote’s professional service have included president and board member of the nonprofit Osteopathic Center for Children (OCC), and executive board status with the OCA.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">His clinical practice sites since 1999 have included Santa Cruz, CA. Fresno, CA. and currently resides at Blue Sky Osteopathy - Sebastopol, CA. There he practices traditional osteopathic care and guides medical students in the clinical application of osteopathic medicine.</p>
