Jihad Mustapha, M.D.

J. A. Mustapha, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a well-versed interventional cardiologist, Critical Limb Ischemia specialist, and amputation prevention advocate who diagnoses and treats patients at Advanced Cardiac & Vascular Centers for Amputation Prevention in Grand Rapids and Lansing, Michigan & Las Vegas, Nevada. The practice focuses on endovascular revascularization of peripheral artery disease (PAD) and critical limb ischemia (CLI). He serves as Co-Founder, President, CEO, and Director of Endovascular Interventions at Advanced Cardiac & Vascular Centers for Amputation Prevention, where he works alongside his nephew, Fadi Saab, MD. He hopes their practice will serve as a national model for amputation prevention. Known as the Leg Saver, Dr. Mustapha is the Founder and Director of the Amputation Prevention Symposium, as well as Founder and Board Member of the CLI Global Society. A Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Mustapha performed his first peripheral vascular limb-salvage treatment more than 12 years ago, preventing the amputation of the leg of a 52-year-old woman suffering from severe PAD.
