In pediatric patients, Lexapros initial daily dose is 5 mg. It can be increased to 10 mg as tolerated and according to response after a few weeks if no response to initial dose. In some patients with partial response to 10 mg, in the absence of side effects, dose of Lexapro can potentially be increased to 15- 20 mg. Daily dose should not be increased beyond 20 mg per day.
