Dr. John C. Moon, DDS

Dr. John Moon was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in San Mateo area. Dr. Moon graduated from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry in 1999. His undergraduate education was completed at the University of California, Berkeley where he majored in molecular and cell biology. Dr. Moon was on the panel of advisors for the most recent 20th anniversary edition of “The Doctors Book of Home Remedies.” The chapters include: Bad Breath, Temporomandibular Disorders, Toothache, and Tooth Stains.

Dr. Moon was selected as ‘America’s Top Dentists’ for cosmetic dentistry by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He was also selected and recognized by The International Association of Dentists as a ‘Leading Physician of the World.’ Dr. Moon has been selected as an ‘Honored Member’ of Who’s Who Top Doctors Honors Edition 2015. The most recent 2015 Bay Area Consumers’ Checkbook has selected and recognized Dr. Moon as ‘Best Dentists in the Bay Area’ for overall care and service quality. Dr. Moon’s dental practice has recently been selected and recognized by the 2016 Patients’ Choice Winner Awards for ‘commitment to quality service and patient care’.

Dr. Moon enjoys practicing all phases of dentistry for both adults and children and considers his patients as friends and family. He believes in treating the patient as a whole since oral diseases can be the first signs of more systemic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. When not treating patients, Dr. Moon enjoys spending time with family, friends, and practicing the martial art of kendo.
