<p>Padmini Balasankar-Atri, MD, FAPA, FATSS, works at Neuropsychiatric and Counseling Associates located in Henrico, Virginia. With over 40 years of experience in psychiatry, Dr. Atri&nbsp;specializes in adolescent and child psychiatry; being the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of psychopathological disorders of children, adolescents, and their families encompassing the clinical investigation of phenomenology, biologic factors, psychosocial factors, genetic factors, demographic factors, amongst others. Dr. Atri has immersed herself in the field of psychiatry; having recognition as a Fellow from the American Psychological Association and from the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists.
