Hal Gerstein MD is the Medical Director of the Long Island Cancer Institute. He specializes in treating cancers of the breast, lung, gastrointestinal tract (including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, liver, gallbladder, small and large intestine, rectum and anus) as well as lymphomas, multiple myeloma, chronic leukemias and other diseases of the bone marrow such as chronic anemias, red and white blood cell problems and platelet abnormalities. Non-malignant autoimmune disorders relating to the blood cells are treated as well. He is particularly interested in the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors of the gi tract and pancreas.
