It is possible that your myopia may start to improve, but it is unlikely to happen until you are in your late forties or early fifties. The good news is that being nearsighted has an advantage as well. Most people start to require reading glasses in their early forties. Being myopic, you will not. In fact, I am myopic, 55 years old and still do not wear reading glasses. I wouldn't trade that for anything!

A good quality pair of sunglasses may not only help with the tearing, but will also block harmful ultraviolet rays that could be damaging. This is not an allergy. If you haven't had a comprehensive eye exam in the recent past, it is probably a good idea to do so.
