How long after a filling can I eat?
With modern materials most fillings can be eaten upon right right away. I would suggest waiting to eat until the numbness is gone though.

It can also be caused by medications, radiation therapy or an oral manifestation of certain diseases. You dentist should evaluate this to determine the cause.
