Which is cheaper metal braces or Invisalign?

It is the same price from my understanding. I don't do the metal braces or Invisalign. I always send my patients to an orthodontist because they are the specialist in moving teeth. The orthodontist has told me that he does both the metal braces and Invisalign and the problem with general dentist doing Invisalign is that they sometimes do not know which case works well with Invisalign and which case works well with metal braces. What has happened several times is that the general dentist try to do Invisalign and then the case doesn't turn out well and so then they end up having to go to an orthodontist to have the case done with metal braces. So now the patient had to pay twice for braces whereas if they would of just went to the orthodontist in the first place they would of saved much time and money.
