Work on your respiratory airflow by breathing in through your nose and then hold in your stomach as long as you can and then exhale. Make sure to watch that the air isn’t rising in your chest. If you increase your airflow, your volume should increase. If not, I recommend going to an ENT and having your vocal folds (cords) checked. They can look at if your vocal folds are moving properly to be able to generate appropriate vocal quality.

So, I can’t say it is due to her being a CKD patient or having high blood pressure currently. However, her slurred speech is related to something & I’d recommend further treatment or testing to understand why this is occurring.

Puberphonia is caused by trying to control unstable pitch and quality characteristics or is an increase in tension and contraction of the muscles in the larynx causing it to elevate. The goals of voice treatment for puberphonia are to phonate at a low pitch and demonstrate that the new low-pitch is to be used and avoid the old high-pitch. Voice therapy treatment consists of coughing, speech-range masking, glottal attack before a vowel, relaxation techniques to reduce tension of the larynx, visi-pitch, and digital manipulation of the thyroid cartilage while producing a vowel. Voice therapy is completed by a Speech-Language Pathologist and should assist in your voicing concerns.

Spasmodic dysphonia causes voice breaks and can give the voice a tight, strained quality. People with spasmodic dysphonia may have occasional breaks in their voice that occur once every few sentences. Usually, however, the disorder is more severe and spasms may occur on every other word, making a person's speech very difficult for others to understand. At first, symptoms may be mild and occur only occasionally, but they may worsen and become more frequent over time. Spasmodic dysphonia is a chronic condition that continues throughout a person's life.
However, it is best to go to an ENT Doctor to check your vocal folds/cords and then go to a Speech-Language Pathologist for voice therapy.
