Well, in the world of "life before antibiotics," I am sure that someone at sometime had a kidney infection resolve on its own. That said, that person likely had tremendous kidney damage with scarring that limited his life span. In the present day, we do not let infections of kidney's go untreated. They are things treated with antibiotics and often can be resolved easily. In certain cases, kidney problems are found to be predisposed to infections that need to be found and addressed to prevent reoccurrences.

Well, I will first say there are 2 types of Diabetes Mellitus. The first is an autoimmune problem whereby the pancreas (endocrine portion) is attacked by your own antibodies shutting it down so a person cannot make insulin. The second type is more common and has a lot of different things that contribute to it. It is different for many people, but I can tell you some things that may help you understand it. The basic problem is that although your pancreas CAN make insulin and often A LOT, the body stops reading it. (Insulin is what allows your cells to utilize sugar as fuel.) Many people get diabetes due to being overweight, it often runs in families (more often than does type 1 diabetes).

Fatty liver is an interesting disease. I wish I could say it was not an issue of concern. It sometimes can be helped just by losing weight, but unfortunately, it can also lead to cirrhosis. Your father should see a hepatologist.

Well, I can definitely tell you that obesity itself does not cause mental health issues, HOWEVER, there are many possibilities to correlate the two. People can become depressed about their bodies, their inability to use their bodies as they had in the past or even compared to others, & there are problems that can lead to obesity and mental illness like hypothyroidism. I have no idea about you or the issues surrounding your weight issues, but am certain that it all can be evaluated at a physician's office.

Pain in one's arm can mean many things. It really needs to be evaluated to figure out just what is causing it. Can be anything from arthritis to muscle fatigue and tons of other possibilities, as well. I recommend seeing someone to get checked.

There could be many reasons for that. The most common is an enlarged prostate, but could be diabetes, or bladder infection or swelling. You really should see be seen in the office.
