Meet Dr. Sibyl

Hello! I, Dr. Sibyl Bence, wanted to further welcome you into our chiropractic family and tell you more about myself and why I became a Pediatric/Family Chiropractor.

I am a chiro-baby as they call it, which means I have been adjusted since birth. Since I was 10-years-old, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor because I have always loved helping others. When I was in the 7th grade, we had a lamb heart dissection and I remember being so fascinated by the intricate details of the heart that I decided then and there that I was going to be a pediatric cardiovascular surgeon. I stuck with the surgeon idea until my last year in undergrad, where I obtained my Honors B.S. in Biology, at Oakland University. The chiropractor in me started to question my decision of pursuing a career in the medical field. I thought about how my philosophy did not line up with that of the medical profession for the true meaning of health. I believed that the human body was perfectly designed and is always trying to move itself into balance.

My Career Pathway

With much prayer and thought, I changed my career pathway to Chiropractic and started at Life University in the Fall of 2015. Working for my dad as a chiropractic assistant for 5 years, I saw the impact and life changing results that chiropractic care had on the patients’ lives. I had the opportunity to complete my internship at one of the busiest pediatric chiropractic offices in the U.S. I was humbled and blessed to experience miracles in the lives of babies and children that were given no hope (from the medical community). Children that were struggling with anxiety, breastfeeding, immune challenges, sleeping problems etc, did not only show improvements, but THRIVED. I feel so blessed to be a part of a career that changes lives and gives people hope.

I have always had a passion for children and coming from a family of 8 kids, it only seemed natural for me to have a career involving kids. I strongly believe that every child’s life is a gift from God and every life deserves to have health and happiness. Having two sisters that were born with special needs, I have always had a special place in my heart for children with those challenges as well.

My mission is to provide life changing chiropractic care to families and children in the community so that they can express true health and wellness. I am certified in Webster Prenatal Technique, a supporting member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and continually working towards expanding my knowledge in family care. My passion is to empower families with the certainty of true health so that they are not just surviving, but THRIVING! I am so excited and honored to be a part of YOUR health journey!

Fun Facts About Dr. Sibyl

I enjoy spending quality time with family/friends, entertaining my nephews and nieces, hugs are my absolute favorite, playing a variety of instruments (piano, guitar, flute, and cello), being an active member of my church community, trail running, traveling, high intensity workouts, learning anything new about neurology, and anything and everything outdoors!
