It’s important to follow your surgeons and anesthesiologists guidelines leading up to and after the surgery, as having diabetes does increase the risk of problems such as delayed healing. Also, if you also have sleep apnea and wear a CPAP ask your anesthesiologist if they would like you to bring that with you on the day of surgery.
